CỨU TRỢ THIÊN TAI CHO NẠN NHÂN LŨ LỤT Ở MALAYSIA
Bờ biển phía Đông bán đảo Malaysia bị ảnh hưởng bởi thảm hoạ lũ lụt tồi tệ nhất vào tháng 12 năm 2014 khiến nhiều ngôi nhà, trường học và cơ sở hạ tầng bị hư hỏng nặng. Hai vùng bị ảnh hưởng nặng nề nhất bởi thảm họa này là Kelantan và Trengganu. BMI Penang đã khởi xướng chương trình cứu trợ thiên tai vào đầu năm 2015.
the call for donation has successfully collected RM9,997.50 from the employees. The BMI Board has further top-up and rounded the collection to RM30,000 and the total donations were given to 4 schools in restoring their facilities.
The 4 schools receiving the donated funds are:
- Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Manek Urai, Kelantan (Primary school with 370 students - to purchase UPSR reference books & PA system)
- Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Manek Urai, Kelantan (Secondary school with 510 students - to restore hostel facilities & sports equipment)
- Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (C) Gua Musang, Kelantan (Primary school with 586 students - to purchase reference books for library)
- Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (T) Ladang Pasir Gajah, Kelantan (Primary school with 35 students - to purchase computers)
